Vertex is a theme for GTK 3, GTK 2, Gnome-Shell and Cinnamon. Vertex supports GTK 3 and GTK 2 based desktop environments like Unity, Gnome Shell, Gnome Classic, Gnome Fallback, Cinnamon, Mate, XFCE, Budgie, Pantheon, etc.
Vertex Linux theme comes with three variants to choose from. The default variant with dark header-bars, a light variant, and a dark variant.
Vertex Linux theme contains three variants:
- Vertex (dark header-bars and toolbars);
- Vertex-Light (completely light); and
- Vertex-Dark (completely dark).
The theme supports Gnome 3.10, 3.12, 3.14 and 3.16, aswell as Ubuntu and Elementary OS Freya. For Ubuntu 14.04, please use the 3.10 version and for Elementary OS Freya, please use the 3.14 version. Chrome/Chromium and Frefox themes are included.

There are two steps of how to install Vertex Dark Theme for Linux Mint Cinnamon: First, you need to add the PPA to your Linux system. Second, you need to set up your Vertex theme.
Add the PPA and install the Vertex Linux theme using Terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vertex-theme
How to Activate Vertex Theme for Linux Mint Cinnamon
After installing your theme you need to setup your current Linux theme and set it up for Vertex dark theme.
Open Themes window by clicking Start Menu >> Preferences >> System Settings >> Themes

Adjusting the theme preference
From the “Themes” window above, you need to select or choose three settings as follow:
- Window borders: Vertex Dark
- Control: Vertex Dark
- Desktop: Vertex
For the icons, it is up to you which icon you select. You can use Elementary OS icon theme for clear and retina ready, for me I prefer Moka icon theme for Linux.
